Join The Bond Maker for a B.A.B. (Books And Bonds) reading experience featuring 1,000 Nights: Death’s Love Letter to Afghanistan by Eli Gardner—an award-winning, modern homage to 1,001 Nights that blends fairytale, folklore, and lived experience. Afghan-American translator Zee West is taken hostage after an IED blast; to delay her fate, she tells a story—night after night—about Aspa, a girl who strikes a bargain with Death and must complete five impossible tasks tied to the senses: touch, smell, sight, hearing, and taste. As Zee’s chapters unfold, so do questions about power, mercy, culture, and the way stories can keep us alive.

This isn’t a typical book gathering. It’s a space for women to connect with purpose, explore big ideas, and leave feeling seen.
