Craft Your Mask & Catch the Parade: Mardi Gras Fun Starts at Lake Wales Latte
Join us for Beads, Babies & Brews at Lake Wales Latte at 12:30 PM as we kick off the Mardi Gras festivities! Bring your mask, and we’ll provide the trinkets and supplies to help you decorate it—so bring your imagination and get creative! Indulge in a slice of delicious king cake and see who’s lucky enough to find the baby and claim the crown.
After decorating and King Cake around 2:00 Pm, we’ll walk together to the Mardi Gras parade to show off our masks and celebrate in true carnival style. Don’t miss this afternoon of fun, creativity, and community celebration!
Since 1984, this amazing parade has brought excitement to Lake Wales with vibrant floats, beads, music, delicious food, and festive spirits.
Since streets will be blocked off, below are the parking suggestions:
We are located on the crossroads of U.S. 27 and Highway 60; dead center of the state.
Take I-95, U.S. 1 or the Florida Turnpike to Highway 60 and go west into Lake Wales. Or Take I-75 to Highway 60 and go east into Lake Wales. Or If your’e coming in by commercial airline, fly to Orlando International Airport, take the 528 west to I-4 west to U.S 27 south into Lake Wales.
The Chamber of Commerce is located on Central Ave just east of U.S 27. Maps and guides are available there.
Parking for Mardi Gras is located along each side of Lake Wailes Park.
